A customer can expect that I will measure both of your feet. I will watch you walk in both your own shoes and any shoes you try on. I will look for stability and any gait issues. I will recommend and try out ready made orthotics and small scale shoe modifications and foot aids to make you more comfortable. I will look at the fit and wear patterns of your existing shoes. I will discuss with you what your lifestyle shoe needs and concerns are.
What is your current shoe wardrobe? Do you have a lot of shoes in good shape that you’d like to wear but never could? If so, a shoe make over is right for you. If not, you should buy new shoes.
Eneslow’s uniqueness means that we are delighted and able to be successful with people who haven’t been able to meet their shoe wear needs anywhere else.
We hear this from our customers every day; “You’re much nicer than the people at other shoes stores.” At Eneslow we take the time to make sure what you get is right for you. After all, when was the last time you heard a salesperson say you shouldn’t buy a pair of shoes? We say that here every day.
At Eneslow we fully evaluate the feet of each customer, assess the customer’s needs and fit each and every foot with appropriate footwear.
The old saying may be true; “there is nothing more comfortable than an old pair of shoes…” however, in order for proper support to accompany comfort, that old shoe may need to be made over or new shoes bought.
Eneslow staff is trained in Pedorthics – meaning we have a tried and true system of providing customers footwear that feels and fits great.
Once people have tried the rest they come to Eneslow and try the best!
My name is Elizabet Velez. I started at Eneslow in 1999. I am part of customer service team and I am proud to do the Medical Marketing for Eneslow. I am very grateful for the opportunity.
Eneslow assessments are one of the most important things we do. That is what makes us so unique, different and stand apart from the others. We ask questions and listen to our customers in order to find a solution to their problems. We are interested in helping anyone and everyone. We measure feet, and check your shoes by performing a pedorthic assessment. We also use the I-Step machine to check the pressure of the feet.
A "Shoe Makeover" may work when the shoes are customized to a customer’s feet for support and comfort. New shoes may be needed when existing shoes are not a good fit even after the makeover. New shoes may be used, when looking for great support and comfort that will last long even though we can surely refurbish your previously owned footwear. We have a wonderful video featuring Suzie Yalof-Schwartz from GLAMOUR experiencing Eneslows "Shoe Makeover" (Click here for video).
Eneslow assessment is what makes us different, unique, and better than our competitors. By looking at customers old shoes, the way they walk, checking their gait, alignment and posture, our customers walk out of Eneslow with footwear that is appropriate to their lifestyles.
I'm a store manager and have 21 years’ experience in the shoe business. I managed at Com-Fit shoes in Westchester for 12 years. I supervised at both the GAP and TJ MAXX for 2 years each. I'am also personable and patient.
Gait analysis, worn shoe evaluation, open ended questions to determine what footwear to select based on use or lifestyle choice. We also see what can be done with current at home shoes to make more improvements.
A "Shoe Makeover" is perfect for a person with nice shoes that would find it a shame to get rid of. Showing people the difference between the shapes of their feet versus the shape of their shoe is a jaw dropping eye opener, which we don’t mind explaining at length with our customers.
Eneslow cares about fit more than anyone. There are so many variables that we see on a day to day basis and we are able to deal with them all. From amputees to LLD’s we, have more experience than any firm out there. I personally have benefited from Eneslow, in that have been able to apply all prior experiences from the past into the work I do today.
We go above and beyond to make each experience a memorable one. We have a team with a soul and a pulse. We try to meet you halfway between chic and smart.
My name is El Hadji S. Ndiaye I have been with Eneslow since July 2007. I am a Board Certified Pedortist and I am willing and able to help you walk more comfortably.
A pedorthic assessment is when we analyze your gait and walking pattern to identify the best last of shoes for our patients. It involves a foot print, a range of motion check, worn shoes evaluation and watching walk without shoes.
They are both valuable and the more beneficial varying from case to case. But anytime customers have shoes that they love and can’t wear, a “Shoe makeover” is a great approach to take.
Eneslow Pedorthic Education makes us unique and it allows us a chance to help anybody who walks in the door, and the service that we offer is second to no other shoe store.
People should shop at Eneslow because of our high quality service and the knowledge of our sales force.
My name is Rima Patricia, I come from Ecuador. Since my childhood I’m related to the shoe business. My grandfather was a shoe maker. I have more than 30 years of experience in the shoe business. My experience is with men’s, women’s, and children shoes. I really enjoy working at Eneslow. I hope to continue to learn and have knowledge of techniques to helping our customers.
We help the customer choose the right footwear for their problems. We serve with courtesy. We give security to the customers; we have people here with experience in pedorthics and know how to help with any foot problems.
It all depends on the customer's need or how it can benefit them. We could give a specific model or something especially for the problems that they may have
Enslow is one of the only stores in NYC who gives the customer one on one consultation. We also have Board Certified Pedorthists and staff on site that can provide internal/external modifications to accommodate the customer’s needs. This benefits me to learn and help the customer in new ways.
In other stores they will not give you the one on one time as does Eneslow. Also you can buy shoes, and modify all at one time.
I’m a friendly, responsible and hard working person. I guess it’s my personality and style of fashion that attracts the customer the most. At Eneslow, customers rely on me because of expertise on shoe fitting, making them feel comfortable or helping them making the right comfort choice for their feet.
As a CPED, it is my job to do a pedorthic assessment to every customer that walks into our facility. Eneslow pedorthic assessment includes- I-step, Harris mat, Brannock measurement, worn shoe evaluation and gait analysis. Combined with our expertise, we find the right shoe that fit the individuals foot shape.
It is always easier and beneficial to work with an existing shoe over a new one because a worn shoe is part of our pedorthic assessment which tells us the story about the feet. We could individually modify shoes to make them more comfortable and feel better. But it all depends on the condition and structure of the shoe.
I introduce Eneslow as a healthy shoe store, where we specialize in custom shoes and orthotics. Customers trust us because we listen to them, we are familiar with their foot issues and find the right solutions. At the end of the day, I look at myself as a person who likes to help others and that makes me feel good.
Eneslow is the last hope. When every shoe store in the city fails, we stand the last chance and we continue taking care of our customer finding the right shoe, modifying the shoes to their needs. Most importantly, they become part of the Eneslow family.
I have been working as a salesman for 40 years. My last 16 years I have been dealing with individuals with different types of foot problems. I have taken several courses regarding foot problems and diabetic customer. This has helped build my knowledge on shoe fitting.
Customers get their feet measured and assessed in order to determine their foot problems and how we can solve them.
Since the foot changes, a "shoe makeover" would not be beneficial because it would not be a satisfied fit. However, new shoes would provide a better fit because for the anatomy tends to change.
Eneslow has been in existence since 1909 to help solve foot related issues for individuals with foot complications. In addition, we have been able to assist customers who do not have any foot complications, but just want to be comfortable.
Unlike any other shoe stores, we specialize and have knowledgeable sales representatives at Eneslow.
I am 72 years old; I have been selling shoes for over 40 years. I am married 51 years and have 3 grand children. I am an intricate member of the great sales team at our Little Neck location. I owned my own family with shoe store and my last position at Yonke I was a buyer and shoe designer.
The pedorthic assessment is our tool to help the customer the correct shoes. We analyze their needs by watching them walk, checking the motion and feet by asking what kind of problems they may have if any.
Sometimes making a favorite shoe over could be rather costly to the customer. It still would be an old refurbished shoe. Perhaps selling a new pair would be more beneficial to their needs.
Eneslow has 104 years of experience, some people come with referrals and recommendations from mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles because of our ability to care for their footwearand needs. We pay attention to for the customer and listen to their questions and complaints with my ability to help find a viable solution to specific feet related problems.
We are the best at what we do! And by leaving an positive experience in their minds that they should return to me for there future footwear. Since I fit them properly and they leave with HAPPY FEET!
I have been in the shoe business for about 35 years. In which 30 of them I have been in service with Eneslow, since 1983. I am presently a Board Certified Pedorthist since 1994, and have been working with the Management Team since 1985.
The Eneslow pedorthic assessment is the process of open ended questions and evaluation of the foot wear and feet of the customer or patient.
I believe every situation is different depending on the condition of the shoes and the fitting of the shoes. In many occasions we can salvage the customer’s shoes and make a customer for life.
Eneslow provides the tools that you need to become a professional pedorthist and make a career of it in the shoe business.
No other shoe store has an equipped team of professionals that can fit, modify, repair and custom make any shoe or orthotic like Eneslow. There is an art in matching the correct shoe with the correct feet and nobody does it better than Eneslow.
During the course of my career in this business, which spans forty years, I have come to don several hats, and the days when I started “lasting” leather on custom shoes in a factory seem to belong to a very distant age.
I must admit that my training as a high school teacher of French did little to prepare me for my new endeavor in the shoe making world. How could it if one, without a semblance of a transition, jumps from syntax, morphology, and semantics to bunions and hammertoes?
Nothing could be more dissimilar to parts of speech than parts of the foot.
Yet, I decided almost instantly one warm September day in 1973 that the foot would be my new calling. During these forty years, I have designed, made and sold shoes. I made orthotics. I worked with famous athletes, as well as, movie and television personalities. So, if you, the prospective customer, want to pick my brain and take advantage of me, I mean take advantage of my extensive experience, stop by Eneslow. It will be an experience you will not soon forget.
I am a bilingual, (english & spanish speaking) CPed working 22 years at Eneslow.
Eneslow pedorthic assessment includes gait analysis, checking range of motion at the foot joints, and also we do foot prints.
Depends on the shoe, the condition and the fit.
With over 104 years of experience, our team of professional shoe technicans help to make our custom shoe laboratory a unique and viable part of the Eneslow experience.
We have CPed's on staff willing and ready to work with you. We also have a shop on site that does repair on the spot. And carry a great variety of shoes while you wait.
